The Director of DWS, Alicia Dumais, has:

  • relevant legal expertise – Alicia was a Senior Associate in the Employment Group at MinterEllison Lawyers where, for almost a decade, she specialised in employment law and preparing disciplinary unprofessional conduct hearings for doctors, psychologists and teachers;

  • practical HR experience – Alicia was the Manager, Employee Investigations for the Department of Justice. Alicia managed a team of HR consultants who investigated issues across Consumer Affairs, Courts & Tribunals, Corrections Victoria, Infringement Management & Enforcement Services, Gaming & Racing and Responsible Alcohol Victoria;

  • extensive workplace investigation and culture review experience – developed over 14 years conducting complex workplace reviews and investigations involving workplace culture, employee experience, team dynamics, leadership, communication and workplace behaviour;

  • leadership coaching skills developed over 14 years of coaching employees; and

  • excellent interpersonal skills – developed over 25 years of dealing with sensitive matters and aggrieved parties, tactfully and successfully.
